Are you a university student looking for a way to get involved and make a difference in the lives of others? EWB-USA offers many opportunities to accomplish this. We encourage students of all disciplines – health, business, social sciences, physical sciences, arts/design, and engineering, to join the EWB-USA chapter at your university. Read on to see how you can begin affecting change.
Join a Chapter
By joining the EWB-USA chapter at your university, you can:
- Apply the skills you are learning in school by participating in the design and implementation of sustainable engineering projects in communities around the world
- Real-world experience in cultural awareness and participatory planning – important skills to have in today’s global workplace
- Leadership opportunities. You can become a member of the chapter executive committee (President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer). You can also become a leader on a project – Project Lead, Cultural Lead, Education Lead and/or Health and Safety Officer.
Not able to travel to a developing country?
EWB-USA provides other opportunities to make a difference. Chapters also need members skilled in training, mentorship, event planning and fundraising.
