Start a New Chapter
Due to the high summer travel season we are not accepting new chapter applications for the July 1st quarterly review however will accept them during the next quarterly review starting October 1st.
Interested in joining thousands of dedicated EWB-USA members around the U.S. and start a new Engineers Without Borders – USA chapter? EWB-USA is dedicated to carefully managing our growth to ensure high quality service for our members and chapters and to help maintain high quality, sustainable programs in the communities with which we partner.
EWB-USA New Chapter Applications are placed on a waitlist and they will be reviewed on a quarterly basis in the first month of each quarter: January, April, July and October. Chapters that are not taken off the waitlist will remain on the waitlist and be re-evaluated in the next quarter. Applications will be reviewed and decisions for starting new chapters will be based on the following general criteria:
- Assessing interest and resources at the local level to successfully start and support a chapter
- The number of available open programs for adoption on the EWB-USA website
- Looking at professional to student chapter ratios by state to help support and strengthen mentoring relationships between professional and student chapters
- EWB-USA resources to successfully manage new chapters
